Charter Standard
The Committee of Northowram Junior football Club are pleased to annouce that we have achieved The FA Charter Standard Development Award.
Congratulations to all those who have helped to achieve this coverted award and to our Partnering Schools and clubs for their support.
Northowram Junior Football Team becomes one of only 29 Junior or Senior Clubs within the West Riding and only 160 to achieve this Standard nationally.
We look forward to a successful future continuing to enable our young people to play football.
Charter Standard is the Football Association initiative launched by Jamie Redknap and designed to raise standards, recognise good practise, and reward quality in the junior game. The following items are covered by the scheme.
Club Administration
Fair Play
Child Protection
Code of Conduct
Coaching
Junior football at its best is two teams enjoying healthy recreation with
responsible parents watching. However, as with most things, there is a dark side - bad touchline behaviour; poor health and safety; inadequate supervision; poor coaching, etc.
As responsible adults we are the guardians
of these children and must be prepared to put in a little time and effort
to ensure their well being.
