OBJECTIVES
The primary function of Northowram Junior Football club is to offer young
persons the opportunity to learn, develop and play the game of football.
This is achieved by providing training and coaching sessions and by playing
matches throughout a season. The organisation of both matches and training
is at the Team Manager’s discretion and is controlled by the resources
available to the club.
Northowram Junior Football acknowledges that competition and winning are
major aspects of the game. We believe that with thought and planning this
can be combined with giving all registered players opportunities for competitive
football during a season, in accordance with their ability and performance.
This can be achieved by careful consideration of the opposition and by
Managers being flexible and responsive with both team selection and with
substitutions as a match unfolds.
This does not mean that each player will have equal match time but does
mean that opportunities to give fair match time should be taken.
It is important that Managers are honest and open with all Players and
if necessary their Parents/Guardians, about the player’s ability,
team selection, substitution policy and asking players to attend at matches
who do not play.
COMPLIANCE
Managers should be able to demonstrate that this Club policy has been
applied to their team by maintaining simple playing records during a season.
