Northowram Colts U7s V St Columbas

Todays game we was at home to St Columbas

This was our first game in 4 weeks and the team were like coiled springs,

We had issues from the start, the opposition only turned up with 3 players this was going to be easy 5 against 3, but the management at Colts let the St Columbas trio loan 2 of our players at a small fee,

The colts Captain Marshall H stepped up to shake hands with the away team with his sleeves rolled up ready for action

The game was under way on a wet slippy pitch, and within 4 mins George B had put one in the back of the net, we seemed to have the upperhand from the word go on the away trio+ 2 colts,

The away trio now had turned into 4 players ,with a late start from there 4th player.

George E had a belting shot 15 yards out and just went wide, the team was passing well and some excellent tackles now going in, the second goal came from George B on 7mins which he lifted it to the top corner , great finish, with a fast response from the Quad +1 colts with a scramble in the colts box Kieran Mc scored his first goal and a well deserved goal for the hungry Kieran Mc who went on to get the Man of the Match.

The team looked like a Premiership side now, Harry P had a great shot but hit the woodwork, George B then took the glory with his hatrick, The away Quad+1colts goalie made a superb save under pressure from the Colts, but George B again slotted a goal,

The second half got under way with a couple of quick goals by George E and George B.

The team was now in charge of this game with some great tackling from Louis in midfield and in defence, George B on the 25th min had another goal to his talley, a couple mins later no 9 for the away team + 2 colts from the half way line scored a belting goal, George E got his second goal on the 30 th min, George B was now playing for the Quad +1 colts and scored the 3rd goal for, them.Harry P had now a chance at goal and he took it with the goal of the match (what a finish).
Luke D was looking strong in goals with a couple of good saves.

Now nearing the end of the game Anya played a strong 20 yard pass to Joseph T who failed to finish , Quad +1 colts no 11 scored the last goal of the game.

This game was a great game for the colts and all players gave it there all well done boys and girls,
