Covid-19 Guidance 1 of 5

1. Return To Football 3.0

Now that the Government have confirmed we will enter into step two of the roadmap from tomorrow (Monday 12th April), the FA have also released their updated their Return To Football guidance to reflect the national restrictions.

You can read the FA's latest statement and guidance here - which includes:

  • Football activity master guidance for re-starting grassroots outdoor football - 11 APRIL 2021 (PDF)
  • COVID-19 safeguarding risk assessment guidance and template - 11 APRIL (PDF)
  • First aid guidance for returning to competitive grassroots football - 11 APRIL 2021 (PDF)
  • Football activity guidance for providers for football activities - 11 APRIL (PDF)

Our Return To Football club protocol document has also been updated to reflect the changes as we head into step two of the roadmap.

We respectfully require all parents to read both the FA Guidance and the Club's own documentation to familiarise themselves with the requirements. Please also discuss this with your child so they are aware of what will happen.

The following procedures for the safe return to football are still required by The FA:

  • Parents/guardians MUST provide written consent for any child wishing to participate in football activity during the Covid-19 pandemic. This applies to new and existing players. Consent is given electronically via your Pitchero account. Any child who doesn't have parental consent will not be allowed to participate in any football activity.
  • Participants MUST read and abide by the Code of Behaviour
  • Participants MUST carry out a self-check before attending any football activity and confirm to their manager/coach at the start of the session that they are fit to play. Anyone exhibiting Covid-19 symptoms MUST stay away from the session to protect everyone else, and follow the NHS guidance on self-isolation.
  • Attendance of all participants MUST be recorded at each session for all football activity. Track & Trace Attendance Registers MUST be submitted by the team manager/coach/admin within 24 hours via Pitchero.

Detailed information for the above procedures can be found within the Club's Return To Football Plan.

If you have any questions please contact your team manager or our Covid Officer, all contact details can be be found on our website here.
