Are you passionate about working with children & want to help our successful football club create a safe environment for children to grow and learn.

We have a fantastic opportunity available for you to get involved, I will be stepping down at the end of the season.

Club Welfare Officer

The club welfare officer ensures that the club operates a safe, child friendly environment and promotes good practice in line with the club’s Child Protection Policy.

One aspect of your role is verifying DBS applications, communicate with committee, the coaches and managers, sending out details to advise what needs to be done to complete the application and chasing up any applications.

Monitoring the status of DBS’ due to expire and getting a new application completed approximately 2 months prior to expiry.

Writing policies for email / social media / website usage.

Being available to support coaches / managers / committee in handling any welfare related issues.

Other duties include

  • Attendance at committee meetings (monthly)
  • Attendance at managers meetings (monthly)
  • Attendance at any welcome meetings / U6’s training sessions
  • Support for any events e.g. presentation day
