Northowram juniors dominate a tough fixture!!!

Well this is the game we have all been waiting for, an away day with the very good outfit which is crossleys. They proved to be our toughest competitors last season.
As the game got underway both teams were a bit cagey both passing the ball well but not really making much advances towards the goals.
Northowram seem to settle into the game quicker and started to show signs of early dominance, we were calm on the ball and very quick to close down crossleys, northowarm set there stall out with all players sticking to there duties.
Northowram were now growing in confidence some good interplay in midfield saw Leo Austin get half a yard on the defenders before calmly placing the ball into the bottem corner 1-0 Northowram!
Quick sub by northowarm saw Chalie English quick onto a loose ball firing the ball home, which was his first touch of the game 2-0.
Northowram were now in full swing closing crossleys down and there persistent hassling paid off as the defender made a mistake Marshall Burke was quick to pounce rounding the keeper for number 3-0.
Although Northowarm were 3 goals to the good the threat of crossleys was never far away as they carried out some good structured attacks, but Cormac,Mathew and Josh held the back line superbly.
Northowram catch crossleys out with a quick counter attack finished off by Max Eastwood a super team goal.
Northowram continued there relentless pressure Marshall applied the finishing touch to a good team move with a poachers goal. Half time 5-0.
As the lads come off at half time they were beaming but the job wasn't yet done Arthur kept the lads composed and focused for the second half.
The game got underway and crossleys were straight on the attack but Josh made some important interceptions breaking up the crossleys attack.
Crossleys were looking like we no they can play with some constant pressure but when they did break our defence Archie Brooman mopped up with some fantastic saves and was quick off his line super game Archie.
Northowrams was on the attack crossleys half cleared the ball in fell to toby at the edge of the box and with a truly magic strike nested in the top corner. The next goal wasn't far away when Marshall went on a solo run which he finished well.
Northowarm we on the offensive again a fantastic run buy Toby saw him brought down in the box for a penalty. He got up dusted himself off and finshed with great composure. Max Eastwood got himself on the score sheet again with another top finish. Charlie completed the games goals with a fine solo effort and a good finish. 11-0

Northowram juniors need to give themselves a pat on the back after there performance today, they defended and attacked as a unit. Every player stepped up today and it showed what a good team the juniors have become, there that good apparently were under 8's (sour grapes me thinks) Well done boys super show today!
