Northowram Rams 3 - 2 Elland 'B'

The game started with two quickfire goals from on form striker Thomas Conlon, both great finishes. These goals resulted from good build up play from both Kaellan Reid and Thomas Ketteringham who were pulling the strings in midfield. After bossing much of the first half Elland came back with two good goals. Rams reliable keeper Ollie Gledhill then had to be substituted temporarily due to an injury. Thomas Conlon then decided to have a short stint as the replacement keeper and performed admirably helped by Rams ever improving defender Robert Wood. It was from a Elland break that the ball fell to our striker turned Keeper, who launched a great defensive clearance over alot of Elland heads straight to Jamie Sheldon. Jamie the ex-Elland player snapped up in a transer swoop by the Rams last season,then ran from his own half beating a couple of players then putting a shot ito the back of the net, much to the delight of his parents!!

Half Time 3-2

The second half followed in the same vein as the first with the Rams dominating the game and Ollie our keeper returning between the posts.
The Rams had plenty of chances to kill the game off, created through great passing and tackling from Lucas Waterworth and Jack Allwood. Unfortunately the Rams couldn't put the chances away, and it took some good resolute defending in the end from the hard working Euan McKay and Harris Reid at the heart of the defence.

Another great hard working performance from the improving Rams.The Scoreline suggested the game was closer than it actually was.
