Cold day, cold start for the Rams as the game kicked off with two quick Wyke goals. The Rams passing game was hindered by the smaller pitch and long grass, and the start was a far cry from the hammering handed out to Brighouse 3 days before. Slowly the Rams got back into the game with chances falling to the normally lethal hat trick heroes from the Brighouse game Thomas Conlon and Kaellan Reid, but on this occasion they couldn't score. There was some good football played through midfield from Oliver Gledhill and Thomas Ketteringham linking with Jamie Sheldon, but it came to nothing as it seemed to be one of those days until Harris Reid played a great ball into the box to find Lucas Waterworth unmarked. Lucas steadied himself before unleashing a great shot into the far corner to pull a goal back for the Rams.
Half time WW 2-1 NR
The second half got underway with the Rams completely on top, but with further missed chances the result was slipping away. There was absolutely no breakthrough for Wyke with Rams rock Robert Wood and safe hands keeper Jack Allwood. The brightest bit of the second half was when player of the season Euan McCay strode forward and took on what seemed to be the enitire Wyke team with the ball glued to his foot, before unleashing a shot that went just wide. The second half ended in stalemate, with the Rams unfortunate not to take anything from the game. A great effort from the lads.

Admittedly it wasn't the way we would've liked to have ended the season but we have made fantastic progress to finish 3rd in the league behind two good teams. There has been some great wins, great goals and great performances from the boys this season, so a very big well done to all the team!!
Jack, Euan, Robert, Jamie, Oliver, Thomas K, Harris, Lucas, Thomas C and Kaellan - I am proud of you all!!
Cheers
