4. NHS QR Codes For Training & Games

NHS QR codes have been provided to coaches so they can be displayed at all training and game venues. These QR codes must be scanned by everyone over the age of 16 upon entry into the ground/facility.

As good practice the club recommends that all committee members and coaches download the NHS test and trace COVID-19 app so that parents can follow their lead. If parents refuse to use the app, or do not have a smart phone then a manual record must be made instead by the Coach. This manual register should then be scanned into the teams WhatsApp immediately after the session and a copy kept for 21 days.

We recommend each team assigns a Covid Marshall (this could be the Team Admin or a parent/carer). They can then assist Coaches with all Covid related tasks to free up time for Coaches to interact with players.

The QR code and manual register process are legal requirements otherwise the club could be fined between £1,000.00 - £4,000.00.

For players and coaches, a separate Track & Trace register MUST be completed through Pitchero , this covers players who are under the age of 16.
